In light of the fact that the scientist who peer-reviewed the Stantec
environmental work for the Six Nations recommended that there be more attention paid to the concerns about potential eagle mortality and pointed out the lack of the essential baseline of a proper Natural Heritage Plan for the County I
feel that the proponents of this proposed project be required to remedy those

Stantec grossly underestimated the kill rates at Wolfe Island and this pattern
continues everywhere to no great surprise of competent ornithologists…which
it seems Stantec has studiously avoided consulting.

It was my observation that the “public engagement” meetings did very little to
accurately inform the public and rather a lot to foment racial tensions. We
should not be permitting industry to engage in “colonizing” behaviour as though
we have not learned anything from the experience earlier attempts at cultural
genocide of our First Nations.

It is obvious that the “shotgun” deal here is an attempt to over run the
traditional cultural values of the Six Nations and as the good Professor
pointed out…for a project which will take over a third of the County and I
would add a substantial part of the rural character of the land to which the
First Nations culture is tied, the time and money should be spent to get the
planning right.

I do not believe this project should be allowed to proceed.
